FAQs

Is the flower farm open to the public?

The flower farm is the Garland family home. It is not currently open to the public.

Where can I buy your flowers? Do you ship cut flowers?

My flowers are available via pop-up flower stands, wholesale to florists, and through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) with a bouquet subscription. Information regarding virtual and in-person pop-ups will be shared via my e-mail news letter and via Instagram @brewcityblooms. Wholesale bunches and subscription bouquets can all be purchased through our website. I grow all of the blooms right here on the flower farm, so they are exclusively available during our growing season. I do not currently ship cut flowers.

What is a bouquet subscription?

A bouquet subscription is a form of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Bouquet subscribers pay in advance for a monthly share of my flower harvest. Each bouquet subscription includes one bouquet for every month of the growing season, May-September. Five bouquets in total. Purchasing a bouquet subscription is an excellent way to reserve some of my blooms just for you and to support my small-scale flower farm during the off season.

I have purchased a bouquet subscription. When can I pick up my first bouquet?

Bouquets are available for pick-up right here on the flower farm. The farm is located in Fox Point, approximately a 15 minutes North on Lake Drive from downtown Milwaukee. Since it can be difficult to predict when the early spring blooms will start budding, pick-up dates and details will be sent to bouquet subscribers via e-mail before the subscription begins. Keep a close eye on your inbox as the growing season nears. Emails will be sent out well in advance of the bouquet subscription start. If you do not see an email from brewcityblooms@gmail.com by the start of our growing season please reach out!

I am a florist looking to purchase wholesale. How can I get in touch?

I anticipate launching wholesale orders in spring of 2024. As the growing season kicks off, wholesale bunches will be made available exclusively for florists. Wholesale bunches will be available to purchase through the website. Availability lists will be prepared weekly throughout the growing season to reflect what is available from the field. I anticipate pick-up and delivery options. I am currently starting seedlings for the 2024 growing season! Please contact me via e-mail at brewcityblooms@gmail.com with any questions or requests, or sign up for my florist contact list to receive my anticipated 2024 availability list and updates on wholesale offerings.

What types of flowers do you grow?

Anticipated varieties for the 2024 season include heirloom narcissus, specialty tulips, bearded irises, ranunculus, allium, stock, sweet peas, long stem violas, snapdragons, cress, yarrow, feverfew, pincushion, lisianthus, amaranth, cosmos, specialty basil, zinnias, dahlias and more. As I get settled into my new growing space I look forward to offering additional perennial varieties including peonies, hydrangeas, and other woody varieties. If you are interested in my anticipated 2024 availability list, please contact me via e-mail at brewcityblooms@gmail.com or direct message me on Instagram @brewcityblooms.

Are your flowers certified organic?

My blooms and other offerings are not certified organic by the United States Department of Agriculture, but I take pride in utilizing organic growing practices on my small-scale flower farm.
